Nestled in the UNESCO-listed Langhe hills of Grinzane Cavour, Piedmont, Italy, “Cantina Le Ginestre” is a family wine-growing business with roots deep in history. Tracing back to the 1700s, the land was once tended by the Audasso family’s forefathers, who served under Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, a key architect of Italy’s unification. War interrupted this noble tradition when Michele Audasso, called to service, vanished in Russia.
In the 1980s, Michele’s son, Franco, with his dedicated wife, Giulia, revived the family’s legacy, rekindling life in the vineyards of Le Ginestre. Today, their children, Gian Luca and Barbara, uphold this cherished tradition with immense pride.
Each bottle from Cantina Le Ginestre is a tribute to resilience and passion—an eloquent blend of the Langhe soil and the family’s enduring spirit. It is history poured into a glass, a vivid tale of heritage that continues to unfold with every vintage. Cheers to Cantina Le Ginestre, where each sip is both a nod to a storied past and a toast to a promising future.
