Ippolito’s history spans five generations of winemaking in Cirò, starting with Vincenzo Ippolito’s initial vineyard marking in 1845. A pivotal moment came in the 1920s when Don Vincenzo modernized production, introducing the region’s first contemporary winery with underground stone fermentation tanks. In the 1940s, they became Calabria’s first estate to bottle their wines.
Today’s operations combine historic practices like aging in their traditional underground cellar with modern viticultural techniques, focusing exclusively on indigenous grape varieties.
