Arnaldo Caprai, a successful textile entrepreneur, fulfilled his dream of owning a vineyard in 1971 when he bought forty-five hectares in Montefalco. As his passion for producing wines from the native Sagrantino vine grew, he acquired more adjacent lands to expand his estate.
Since 1988, Arnaldo’s son, Marco Caprai, has managed the company with a focus on modernization and collaboration with professionals in the wine industry. The company has made significant investments in vineyards, research, and technology to enhance their wine production.
Their efforts have paid off with numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious Tre Bicchieri award for their Sagrantino 25 Anni. The company’s goal remains the same as it was thirty years ago: a relentless pursuit of quality, research, and experimentation with new techniques to honor the culture and tradition of their territory.
